Data Product Manager
Megvii Technology Co., Ltd.
As a Product Manager at Megvii, I played a crucial role in driving the success of a program aimed at empowering the traditional retail industry through AI and Big Data analysis. My responsibilities involved overseeing the development and implementation of the Business Interface (BI) for store operators.
In this role, I conducted extensive user research to gain insights into customers' buying behavior and preferences. By analyzing and categorizing this data using various analysis methods, I provided valuable insights to store operators, enabling them to make informed decisions about their selling strategies.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, data analysts, and developers, I translated these insights into actionable product features and enhancements. I worked alongside design practitioners and researchers in ideation and sketching sessions to generate innovative design concepts that addressed the needs of both users and the business.
Furthermore, I actively participated in optimizing the design process, improving efficiency, and streamlining workflows. By leveraging my project management skills, I successfully coordinated efforts between different teams and ensured smooth execution of projects. I effectively communicated with stakeholders at varying organizational levels, presenting findings and recommendations that guided decision-making and drove product improvements.
Overall, my experience as a Product Manager at Megvii allowed me to deepen my knowledge of AI and Big Data analysis within the retail sector. I developed a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. I am confident in my ability to drive product strategy, lead teams, and deliver innovative solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.

User Experience Designer
Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd
As the first User Experience (UX) Designer at Xiaomi Technology Company's Smart Home IoT department, a Fortune 500 corporation (Rank 266), the design leadership for over 200 smart home products fell within my purview.
During my two-year tenure, my involvement was integral to the delivery of 59 design projects. Among these, six projects achieved international recognition, receiving accolades such as the Red Dot Design, IF Design, and Good Design Awards.
My duties varied, encompassing preliminary user and market research, the creation of detailed user personas and journey maps, interaction design, prototyping, and usability testing and improvements. The end-to-end design process occurred with market and competitive analysis, which expanded my proficiency in user-centric design methodologies.
Data was a fundamental tool, guiding my decision-making process. I applied analytical methods like Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Regression Analysis, which I had acquired during my undergraduate research projects in environmental science. Data visualization was used to clarify scenarios during design presentations.
A challenge of inconsistency in user experiences across the diverse product range was identified and addressed, primarily attributed to the absence of a unified UX guideline. The resolution was a comprehensive design blueprint that promoted interoperability among teams, optimized efficiency, reduced costs, enhanced usability, and simplified the user learning process.
To facilitate this, the Double Diamond Design method was utilized, involving a decision matrix based on factors such as usage frequency, importance, and safety levels for the segmentation of existing and future products. In collaboration with the hardware and software teams, feasible interaction methodologies were identified and iteratively tested and refined.
The outcome, a UX guideline, influenced China's home design industry significantly and contributed to a 20% reduction in the product delivery cycle, a 21% cost saving, and improved team dynamics and recognition within the company. This guideline remains in use and continues to evolve post my tenure at Xiaomi.d<br>
